Self Published Ebooks Riding High!
Self-published ebooks for devices such as the Kindle just keep on rising and setting multiple cats among the pigeons. They used to say that everybody has a novel in them, now it seems it’s everyone and their dog! So if you’re the lazy type get your dog to write your book for you, get your cat to format it and your favorite simian to make the cover and Bob’s your uncle you’ve got yourself an ebook! Now upload it to Amazon and wait for the cash to flow. Don’t forget to set the price at $3.99 as that is apparently the new price point that gets the most sales (better than 0.9 and 2.99) – so now you know.
The current ebook best-seller is The Great Gatsby – not self-published of course, but interesting nevertheless as Simon & Schuster have set the price at $4.99 which is very unusual for one of the big 6 publishing houses. Signs of things to come?
